Saves my knees, saves my time

The 32kmh top speed is a nice upgrade from the standard 25kmh EU limit, it does not sound like a huge difference but it really is noticeable in terms of how quickly you can get around, my commute time dropped by about 15 percent just from that extra 7kmh, and I feel like I am keeping up with traffic much better, the bike still feels completely stable and safe at that speed, and I have never felt like I needed to go any faster, it is the perfect compromise between legal compliance and practical speed.

Light enough to manage, strong enough to trust

The folding handlebars on the ENGINE Pro 2.0 are a smart design that makes the folded bike much more compact, they fold down to the side with a quick release lever and lock securely in place when unfolded, there is no wobble or movement at all, and the process takes about five seconds, when the bike is folded, the handlebars tuck in neatly alongside the frame, reducing the overall width significantly, it is a small detail but it makes a big difference when you are trying to squeeze the folded bike into a tight space.

No parking headaches anymore

I have taken the ENGINE Pro 2.0 on several long distance rides now, including a 70km loop through the countryside, and the bike has performed flawlessly every time, the motor provides consistent assistance, the battery lasts for the whole ride, the fat tires keep me comfortable on rough back roads, and the folding frame, despite the hinge, has never creaked or felt loose, it is a bike that inspires confidence and makes me want to ride further and explore new places, it has genuinely expanded my horizons.

Just grab the keys and go

The mechanical disc brakes are easy to service and adjust, the pads are standard sizes that are available at any bike shop, and the rotors are thick and have shown no signs of warping even after hard use, I have adjusted the cables once in 600km to take up a little bit of slack, and the process took about five minutes with a simple Allen key, for riders who like to do their own maintenance, this is a very user friendly system, and for those who prefer to take it to a shop, any mechanic will be familiar with these brakes.

Surprisingly fun for practical transport

One of the best things about the ENGINE Pro 2.0 is how it has changed my attitude towards transportation, I used to drive my car for almost every trip, even short ones, but now I take the bike whenever I can, I have saved a significant amount of money on petrol and parking, I am getting more exercise even with the assist, and I am having a lot more fun getting from place to place, it is not just a bike, it is a lifestyle upgrade, and I am grateful that ENGWE built such a capable and enjoyable machine.

Does exactly what it promises

The 52V 16Ah battery is not just powerful, it is also well integrated into the frame design, it locks securely in place and is easy to remove for charging, the key mechanism feels solid and the battery fits snugly with no rattling, the contacts are well protected from moisture, and the battery has a built in charge indicator so I can check the level without turning on the bike, it is a professional grade battery system that gives me confidence in the bike's reliability and longevity.

From A to B with a smile

I did a lot of research before buying the ENGINE Pro 2.0, reading reviews, watching videos, and comparing specs, and I am happy to say that the bike has lived up to all my expectations and then some, the performance is excellent, the build quality is impressive, the folding feature works well, and the value for money is outstanding, if you are in the market for a powerful, folding, fat tyre e-bike, I cannot recommend the ENGINE Pro 2.0 highly enough, it is a fantastic machine that I enjoy riding every single day.

Wish I'd bought one sooner

The 20 inch fat tires on the ENGINE Pro 2.0 give the bike a unique look that always draws comments, people are constantly asking me about it when I park it outside cafes or shops, the combination of the chunky tyres, the folding frame, and the powerful motor is something that most people have never seen before, and they are always impressed when I tell them how fast it is and how far it can go on a single charge, it is a conversation starter as well as a great ride.

Keeps me active without exhausting me

The throttle on the ENGINE Pro 2.0 is smooth and progressive, not an on off switch like some cheaper e-bikes, I can twist it just a little for a gentle push or crank it fully for maximum acceleration, and the motor responds instantly and linearly, it makes low speed manoeuvres like pulling away from a stop or navigating tight spaces much easier, and it is also great for giving my legs a rest on long rides, the throttle is a feature that I use all the time and I would not want to be without it.

Reliable in rain or shine

The folding mechanism on the ENGINE Pro 2.0 uses a double latch system for safety, you have to unlock both latches before the bike will fold, and when you lock it back open, both latches click into place with a reassuring sound, it is over engineered in the best possible way, there is no chance of the bike accidentally folding while you are riding, and the hinge is so tight that you would never know it folds just by riding it, this is the kind of attention to safety that gives me confidence in the bike's design.

Simple display, straightforward ride

I have ridden the ENGINE Pro 2.0 in heavy rain several times now and it has never missed a beat, the motor and battery are well sealed, the display is waterproof, and the brakes work just as well wet as dry, the fat tires provide excellent grip on wet pavement, and the headlight, while not the brightest, is adequate for being seen, the IP rating is clearly legit and the bike can handle whatever the weather throws at it, another point in favour of the build quality.

Charges overnight, rides all day

The 750W motor on the ENGINE Pro 2.0 is surprisingly efficient for its power output, I have ridden other high power e-bikes that ate through battery quickly, but this one seems to strike a good balance between performance and range, I suspect the 52V system helps with efficiency because the motor can produce the same power with lower current, and the battery cells are clearly high quality, whatever the reason, I am getting better range than I expected from a 750W motor, and that is a win in my book.

Takes me where I need to go

The seat on the ENGINE Pro 2.0 is comfortable enough for rides up to an hour, but for longer days in the saddle I swapped it out for a gel padded cruiser seat, that is a personal preference thing and not a criticism of the stock seat, which is perfectly fine for most riders, the seat post is standard size so swapping is easy, and the bike has enough adjustment range to fit riders of different heights, I am 6 foot 1 and I have plenty of leg extension with the seat fully raised.

Beats sitting in traffic

The ENGINE Pro 2.0 has quickly become my favourite possession, I look for excuses to ride it, I take the long way home, I volunteer to run errands just so I can be on the bike, it has brought back a sense of joy and freedom that I have not felt since I was a kid riding my BMX, and I know I am not alone in that feeling, everyone who tries this bike ends up with a giant smile on their face, it is just that much fun to ride, and I am grateful to ENGWE for building such an incredible machine at a price that ordinary people can afford.

J
Javier Lopez
Easy on the back, easy on the wallet

The 32kmh top speed is perfect for keeping up with city traffic, I no longer feel like a slow moving obstacle that cars are aggressively passing, and the fat tires and sturdy frame give me the confidence to ride assertively in traffic, the bike feels solid and stable even when surrounded by larger vehicles, and the powerful motor means I can accelerate quickly when I need to, all of these factors combine to make riding in traffic much less stressful and much safer.

Perfect blend of pedal and power

I have zero regrets about this purchase, the ENGINE Pro 2.0 is worth every single euro.

N
Nina Weber
Just works, every single time

The folding mechanism is robust and feels very secure, no wobble or play at all when locked in place.

P

Smooth, quiet, and reliable

I love that I can fold this powerful beast and fit it in the boot of my small hatchback.

M
Marco Conti
Takes the sting out of hills

The 750W motor is technically above the 250W EU limit but for off road and private land use it is a hoot.

P
Paul Lefevre
Perfect for my daily routine

My only minor complaint is the headlight could be brighter for night riding, but I added an aftermarket one easily.

C
Claire Martin
No more arriving sweaty

The 52V 16Ah battery is the star of the show, the power delivery is smooth and consistent even when low.

L
Lucas Muller
Simple to operate, a joy to ride

I took this on a 60km mixed terrain ride and the battery still had two bars left, very impressive.

D
David Kovač
Money well spent on mobility

The fat tires soak up potholes and bumps so well that I barely feel anything, my back thanks me daily.

A
Anton Belov
Effortless cruising, natural feel

The ENGINE Pro 2.0 is hands down the most fun I have had on two wheels, it puts a smile on my face every single ride.

B
Barbara Nowak
Great helper for short trips

Let me tell you about the first time I really opened up the ENGINE Pro 2.0 on a long straight country road, I had the pedal assist cranked to maximum and I was just flying at 32kmh when I hit a slight downhill and the bike accelerated even more, the fat tires were humming on the pavement and the motor was barely audible, I felt like I was riding a silent rocket ship, completely stable and planted despite the speed, and when I finally had to brake for a corner the mechanical discs hauled me down smoothly and progressively without any drama, I have owned a lot of e-bikes over the years but nothing has given me that pure childlike joy like this ENGINE Pro 2.0 does every single time I ride it.
